Ecos de la Tierra
Ecos de la Tierra is an aesthetic political proposal in which artists from Oaxaca, Mexico, living amongst indigenous communities, are committed to fighting climate change. By representing their ancestral cosmogonies with the use of powders and binders extracted from nature, they highlight their oral traditions of water and land as well as their methods of agriculture, such as plowing with animals, marking the rhythms of life. They express, along with the teachings of the old tlacuilos, the true wisdom marked by the stars, which resonates as a magnetic echo in land and seascapes.
Artists like Sergio Hernández, Guillermo Olguín and Guillermo Pacheco demonstrate the force of nature with their work, a work that inspires and imposes a creative power before the challenges facing the contemporary world.
